Announcements:
 
  1. Blessings in a Backpack volunteers needed this Thurs, Feb. 2nd and the following week, Feb. 9th at 10:30am North Shore School. 
  2. Rotary Social hour next Wed., Feb. 8th, 5:30om at Three Blonds, hope you will join us.
  3. Our scholarship fundraiser dinner is being planned for April 29th at Beeches Golf Club.  Deb Davidson and Scott Mark for taking the lead on planning this event, more details to follow.  I hope you will plan not only to attend but to also make a $100 donation toward our scholarship fund.  This fund provides scholarships to local high school seniors and supports the South Haven Public School Endowment Fund.
  4. We will be inducting Todd Heinrich, Bob Metzen and Anna Rydecki into the Club this morning. 
  5. New member check in session has been set for Feb. 20th, 5:30pm at my home.  Details to new members and their sponsors will be coming from Kaileigh soon.
  6. Club business cards are on the table by the door for your use as well as Club Directory updates for new members and corrections recently made by the Brinkman’s to all member listings.
  7. It is the beginning of Awards season, please submit your suggestions for Club Hero to Dan Thompson by March 17th so the board can make a decision at its March meeting and submit our Club Hero to the District.  Also be thinking of a candidate for Citizen of the Year which is an award that goes to a non-Rotarian who has made significant contributions to the community.
Bob Copping- Bob shared how to tell if you need to be committed to an Asylum.  How would you empty a Bathtub?  By spoon, Cup or Bucket?  Most normal people would pull the plug.  Would you like a room with a view?
