PROGRAM – Caring Connection
The presenters were our own Robin McGinnis and Alicia Raab
The presenters were our own Robin McGinnis and Alicia Raab
They first expressed their appreciation to four of our members – Todd, Dana, Bob M. and John – for their efforts in helping prepare the space for use by the organization. Together they spent 75 hours constructing, patching and painting.
Caring Connection provides a safe and inviting daytime environment where adults with memory loss and special needs can participate in meaningful and therapeutic activities to enhance their dialing living.
South Haven is the organization’s third location joining sites in Benton Harbor and Paw. The organization has been rooted in southwest Michigan and caring for communities in Berrien Cass and Van Buren counties for over 130 years.
South Haven is unique in that it offers inter-generational generational opportunities in partnership with the Youth Development Company (YDC) which provides child daycare services elsewhere in the building. The interactions between adult and children were described as “priceless”.
Caring Connection can service up to 25 clients with potential for growth. There are opportunities for financial support to clients needing assistance. Free public transportation can be arranged.

We concluded with the Four Way Test.
