SPOKES -- November 17, 2020
 
We had a communications mixup today so there is not an official SPOKES report. Editarian
Dene returns next week -- HOORAY!!!!!
 
We met via ZOOM. President Dan called the meeting to order. Art offered the opening prayer.
 
President Dan gave several announcements. Among them:
 
* Reminder that we serve the community dinner at the Congregational Church on Thursday.
We have enough volunteers. Report by 5:45 p.m. Volunteers needed for the December 17th
dinner. Let President Dan know if you can volunteer.
 
* We will ring the bell for the Salvation Army on Saturday, Dec. 19th. Contact Bob Stickland if you are willing.
These are one hour commitments at either the Walmart or Golden Brown.
 
* Proposed officers and board of directors for 2021-22 were announced. We will vote on the slate at our December 15th meeting.
 
 
COMEDY RELIEF
Bob Copping offered some comedy relief given him by fellow Rotarians.
 
FINES
Tom Ruesink did his duty.
 
BIRTHDAYS
Yes there were some. Larry led us in the traditional happy birthday song.
 
 
MEMBER SPOTLIGHT
Tom Ruesink offered an enlightening life story. We are blessed to have Tom in our club.
 
 
 
PROGRAM
Program Chair Susan Brickley introduced newly elected Van Buren County Prosecutor Susan Zuiderveen.
 
Susan grew up in South Haven. We knew her as Susie Timm.
 
She presented an overview on the criminal justice system in Van Buren County and outline some of her goals.
 
President Dan presented Susan a gifft certificate to the Phoenix Inn Cafe.
